16 Ways To Prevent And Get Rid Of Herpes

loading...
Herpes is not welcome on your face, or anywhere else, for that matter. Not only are they cosmetically unattractive, but they can be downright painful. We will overcome the fact that they are caused by the herpes virus.

We all know it, and that aspect gets a lot of attention. Defining herpes  simply for what they are, they are small, fluid-filled lesions that usually appear on or around the lips. The blisters are often grouped together and, after rupture, a scab forms on the resulting ulcer.

There is no real cure for the virus, or herpes . The positive side is that there are preventive measures you can take to reduce outbreaks, severity and duration.

If bothersome blisters appear, there are a decent number of home remedies for herpes  that can relieve your discomfort and help decrease your appearance. The fact that there is no cure does not mean that you are stuck with prescribed irritating facial creams or that you have a mouth sore that lasts forever.

1. Vanilla
Vanilla extract, the true, good, pure, vanilla extract, is a natural remedy for pain that some people trust in it. The thinking process is that its alcoholic base, and in that sense, makes it difficult for the virus to thrive and eliminates it or decreases the severity and duration of the outbreak. If you use vanilla, try to get it organically, and try to start using it the moment you feel the tingling.

Will need …

-a cotton swab or cotton
- pure vanilla extract

Instructions ...

Soak a cotton swab or vanilla swab until it is completely saturated. Apply directly to the ulcer, holding the swab or pad in place for a minute or so. Do this four times a day until it is no longer necessary.

2. Take some licorice
One of the most random natural remedies for herpes that you can use is licorice. In some studies, it has been shown that glycyrrhizic acid, an ingredient in licorice root, stops virus cells in their small, nasty clues, or at least counteracts symptoms.

This is thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. One way to get something positive from this is not to eat a lot of licorice smoothies, but to get some licorice powder and make a cream. You can also try to drink licorice tea daily, although it does not seem as effective as topical treatment.

Will need …

-1 tablespoon of licorice root powder or extract
-1/2 teaspoon of fresh water OR about 2 teaspoons of petroleum jelly

Instructions ...

Mix a tablespoon of licorice root powder with ½ teaspoon of fresh water, or whatever it takes to get the consistency of the cream you want, making sure to add it in small increments.

Another option is to mix it with petroleum jelly, which alone can help speed up the healing process of herpes.

If you opt for this, start with a teaspoon of petroleum jelly and mix with licorice root. You can work your way to the desired consistency from there.

Rub gently (a cotton swab is useful for this) a thin layer over the sore, making sure to cover it completely. Leave it on for at least several hours, or overnight if possible.

3. Throw away your toothbrush
Discard the toothbrush once the blister has formed and discard it once the sore has disappeared. A toothbrush is the perfect container to carry the virus, and you can end up causing an outbreak in yourself if you reuse the same toothbrush over and over again. This is a preventive measure, since it can stop an outbreak or shorten it, it is worth doing.

4. hands off
It may seem obvious, but it may be almost impossible to resist touching that small (or large) patch with your mouth. Almost subconsciously you can end up bothering him, or very consciously, you just want to take it off and end it.

Whatever your reason, resist the possibility of touching the ulcer, even when touching it and see if it contracts, since these actions can cause a bacterial infection. That is the last thing you need. They are also so contagious that even touching your ulcer and then accidentally rubbing your eye, or somewhere else in your body, could cause them to spread (they are not limited only to the mouth, you know?)

5. get milk
Putting a compress of whole milk on the sore can help speed healing and relieve pain. The reason? Milk contains proteins known as immunoglobulins, which are essentially antibodies that fight and prevent herpes similar to viruses.

It also contains l-lysine. L-lysine helps inhibit the evil work of an amino acid called arginine, which has been shown to cause outbreaks and can also help speed up the healing process.

In summary, to prevent outbreaks, drink whole milk and get your dose of l-lysine. To help the herpes that have already sprouted, make a compress of whole milk to soothe the pain and fight the virus.

Will need …

-1/2 cup for 1 cup of whole milk, plus a tablespoon or 2
extra cotton balls or cotton pads

Instructions

Soak a cotton ball in about 1 tablespoon of milk and apply it directly to the canker sore for several minutes.

Before doing this, you can let the milk reach room temperature or, if you prefer, you can apply it herpes. Use a clean towel dampened with water to remove the milky residue at the end. If you feel you need it, apply a little petroleum jelly.

6. Clean it with hydrogen peroxide.
Anyone who has had a father who puts hydrogen peroxide in a scratch knows that it isn't exactly pleasant.

The good news is that it is much less traumatic to use it of your own free will, and it doesn't seem that it hurts so much that you have grown a little.

Love it or hate it, the solution can be an effective remedy for herpes. Disinfects, accelerates, and hinders the spread or worsening of the condition. The blister is already annoying and infected, at least virally, and keeping it clean can ultimately make it go away faster.

Will need …

-1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide:
cotton balls, cotton pads or facial tissue

Instructions

Soak a cotton ball in 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. Use more if you feel you are not saturated enough.

Place the cotton ball directly on the sore, it will probably bite, and keep it there for a few seconds, or rub it. Let it stand for approximately 5 minutes, allowing it to do its job, before rinsing it.

7. Be fresh mint
It is believed that peppermint oil has properties that directly kill virus particles outside of cells, such as those that float around a rash sore. It will not help to ingest peppermint oil because it only attacks the virus that escaped from the cells.

What we mean by being "out" of your cells is that the herpes simplex virus usually resides beneath the skin, lurking and waiting for a trigger to make your head ugly. When it erupted, it is accessible to deal with the oil.

When applied directly to a canker sore, people have found that the ulcer healed faster than normal, especially when applied to the first sign of one.

You will need…
Good quality peppermint oil,
cotton swab,
some fresh water.

Instructions
First, use some water to rinse the herpes surface. In doing so, it escapes a bit of surface dirt that would make it harder for the oil to really sink and do its best.

Then, dip a cotton swab in clean water and then soak it in peppermint oil. This is to dilute it a bit, making it less likely to irritate your skin. Try this twice a day until it is no longer necessary.

8. Take Echinacea
There are a couple of people I am close enough to drink Echinacea tea religiously and swear. Every time I come with an insect, I get the look of "I'm not sick, right?", With a significant nod to his cup of tea.

The reason they get away with it is because echinacea strengthens their immune system and defenses, making it difficult to catch insects and shorten the time they are affected by them.

Although it has not yet been proven, it can help prevent outbreaks of herpes that often show when the immune system is weakened.

You will need…
1 bag of echinacea tea
-1 cup of freshly boiled water

Instructions
Place your bag in a jar and pour boiling water over it. Cover, a plate works well and let stand for 10 minutes. Squeeze the juice from the bag when you remove it to get all the extra good stuff.

9. Recharge of vitamins E and C
Vitamins are good for us and for our herpes, I really mean they are bad for them.

Vitamin C has been shown to increase white blood cell count, and white blood cells are the body's defenders.

When something like an infection appears in the small and brave cells they go to battle, and having more of them means that you will be more effective in fighting the infection, which in this case is herpes.

Vitamin E, when applied topically, has been found to relieve the irritating and painful discomfort of herpes, as well as to minimize scars. You can get vitamins through an oral supplement, oil (in the case of vitamin E) and, in the best way, through your diet.

Foods rich in vitamin C include red berries, kiwi, broccoli, tomatoes, red and green peppers, spinach (Popeye didn't know he was in a cure for herpes).

Foods rich in vitamin E include
:

  • nuts,
  • green leafy vegetables,
  • whole grains , avocados.

10. Cornstarch Paste
If you've worked with cornstarch before getting familiar with its fine, almost silky texture, it looks like it could be soothing for a herpes, isn't it? I would say yes, and in fact it can help relieve the itching pain of an ulcer when applied directly.

The less obvious reason why corn starch is a pleasant home remedy for herpes is the fact that it neutralizes the pH of the ulcer (the virus develops in an environment that is too acidic) and creates an alkaline state (alkaline is the opposite of acid.) To seek relief and shorten the duration of your herpes, simply prepare a paste of soft corn starch such as silk.

Will need …

-1 tablespoon cornstarch
-1 teaspoon fresh water to start

Measure 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and place in a small bowl. Mix in 1 teaspoon of fresh water. Add more water slowly until a paste-like consistency is achieved. Put a little on your herpes before bedtime, and rinse gently with water in the morning. Do this every night until the herpes disappear.

11. Rub on some witch hazel
The leaves and bark of American witch hazel have been used medicinally for years, namely, Native Americans, and have now been commercialized fairly.

Nowadays, you don't have to worry about tracking a plant and plucking its leaves and bark, since you can find a bottle of witch hazel or witch hazel hydrosol in almost any pharmacy or store.

Since it does not produce enough oil to sell as an essential oil, hydrosol is a distilled liquid version. It has been shown to help with various diseases, especially in skin care, with an emphasis on acne, bruises, insect bites, blisters and, if you have not guessed so far, herpes.
Will need …

-1 teaspoon of
swab of suntan with cotton or cotton.

Soak a cotton pad or the end of a cotton swab in witch hazel. Rub directly on the sore and leave it on. Do this 1-2 times a day as needed.

12. Grab some aloe vera gel
Aloe vera gel, which is used to relieve mild skin irritations, can provide quick relief from the pain of a canker sore once it forms.

It also fights bacteria that can irritate the pain more and make it go away faster. Being so reliable, aloe is often touted as one of the best natural remedies for skin problems that exist. The best way to benefit from this is to have an aloe plant.

They are not hard to come by, they are tough (I got one when I was five and I managed to survive my care for years) and, best of all, they are useful and economical. If you can't get an aloe plant, look for a good gel that is sold in stores.

Will need …

-1 aloe plant OR ½ teaspoon aloe vera gel

Instructions ...

Break the end of a succulent and fleshy leaf. Apply the gel directly to the sore. If you can't come from a plant, apply a cotton swab in about ½ teaspoon of aloe vera gel and apply it directly. Leave on.

13. Ice
Look aside, herpes hurts. They can really, really hurt. Think about what they are: small boos filled with liquid that explode, form blisters and form a scab. Something like constipation, they are not taken very seriously.

If you complain about the pain of constipation, it can take you to the emergency room, by the way, all people think it's "poop" and then disconnect. With herpes, most people think of "herpes" and then continue, especially because herpes are very common.

To numb the pain that some people simply do not understand (and the injustice of all this), try to hold an ice cube directly on the sore for as long as possible, and then apply some petroleum jelly.

Gelatin will help keep bacteria away and decrease the feeling of narrowing and splitting of the skin that sometimes occurs when a blister dries too much, as it would after using an ice cube.

Will need …

1 to 2 fresh ice cubes, or an ice pack: a
little petroleum jelly

Instructions ...

Take a good ice cube, which would be most of them, and keep it on the sore as long as possible, or use an ice pack. When finished, gently tap any remaining water from the sore and apply some petroleum jelly.

14. Wear sunscreen, even on your lips
Exposure to light, that is, UV light, seems to be a very important factor in outbreaks. When you arrive at the beach, or just go for a walk in summer, apply sunscreen on your face and apply lip balm with an SPF value of not less than 15. In fact, it may take longer to acquire a crazy tan , but it is a very, very, small sacrifice to make when you think about the pain of canker sores and damage to your skin.

15. Wash everything
You don't have to get rid of everything you own when you have a canker sore, but like your toothbrush, it's better to get rid of some things that come in contact with your lips / mouth area, such as lip balm, or makeup tools In addition to this, wash your hands every time you touch, or even think you touch, your mouth sore. While you always spread, it is easier to spread the virus when there is an open blister and you can keep the outbreaks if you continue to use contaminated items.

16. Quarantine immediately.
The moment you feel the tingling sensation that precedes an outbreak of herpes, start your treatment. Since there is no "cure", sometimes preventive measures work better, and nibbling it from the yolk seems to help increase the effectiveness of the treatment and shorten the existence of ulcers.

When everything ends at the end of the day, you have a virus that will never disappear completely until a true cure for herpes simplex is found. That said, your world does not have to suddenly stop when a sore appears.

Use common sense, try to get to the beginning and treat it with patience, taking into account that the remedy that best suits your needs probably requires some trial and error. Since they are likely to live together for a while, it is good to remember that the less you bother your herpes (that is, that it bites you or uses unnecessarily harsh chemicals), the less it will bother you.
